surprise upgrade?

Hi. My son is going on the Allure of the Seas Sunday and he booked an interior cabin 10 months ago. Yesterday he called me and when he printed out all his documents they said he was in a boardwalk balcony room up 2 floors!!! I was so excited for him but do they just do this without even telling you? He hasn't paid anything at all just got a boardwalk balcony room. I just told him enjoy it!!!

Yes, they can upgrade without notification.

Having a boardwalk view cabin on Allure also entitles him and guest(complimentary) to two Coke packages and lunch for four at Johnny Rockets.:D

Yes, the perks are given to anyone in those staterooms, no matter how much they paid for the stateroom.

Congrats enjoy that Boardwalk balcony! We had a surprise upgrade on our first Oasis cruise during its the inaugural season. We had 2 adults and 2 small kids in a oceanview balcony but when we got to the pier at check in and double checked out stateroom number we discovered we were in. JS. Thanks...well take that! Never has happened again but perhaps one day it will;)
