Gift Cards Upon Debarkation

If I buy Carnival gift cards and load them onto my account while onboard, what happens if I have a positive balance? (Say I load $1000 and only spend $800) I will have my credit card linked to my account too...Will they give the $200 in cash back to me? Will they apply it to my credit card? Will they apply it back to gift cards?

You will get a gift card in the mail in a few days/weeks.

My advice, don't load them to your account. Just wait until the last full day of your cruise and go to guest services and pay your balance with your gift cards.

1) go to slot machine

2) insert sail & sign card

3) "deposit" $200 into machine (charged to your folio)

4) spin once or twice

5) cash out

6) take your cash ticket to the cage and trade for cash

Yes. The funds from the gift card are effectively OBC and you can use it for any spending on the ship, including at the casino machines.

If you put it n your account, you can use it for anything you use your sail and sign card to buy on the ship. If you play slots, you already know how to charge to your room. If not, then you sit down at a machine and then you have to set up an account. I think the option would be to change your pin. Select that and follow the instructions to set up your account. Once ou have done that, leave your card in the machine and play a few rounds. When you're ready to leave that machine, cash out to your card and any money you have on that machine will transfer to your account. If you're done playing, take your card to the casino cage and cash out.
