CaptainGoodVibes Posted June 16, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 16, 2018 Cruising the Baltic on Regal Princess this September. It has 3 Formal Nights. My husband is wearing a black tux with white shirt but has a dislike of wearing a tie. Is this okay? Or will he be directed to the Buffet not the MDR?
cb at sea Posted June 16, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2018 He won't even need the tux. No worries. However, JMO, if you wear a suit or tux...wear a tie.
bUU Posted June 16, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2018 There are dress shirts that go with a suit (not a tux) but don't go with a tie. https://www.amazon.com/Sunrise-Outlet-Collarless-Banded-Collar/dp/B00H1YYI8S It's a legitimate fashion choice; there will always be whiners who will have a problem with it, but let them whine. CaptainGoodVibes Posted June 16, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted June 16, 2018 Personally I like the look of a tux with nice shirt and no tie. But what does Princess require to enter MDR on Formal Night? Do men have to wear a tie? Thanks. As you can tell we don't have a clue!!

LrgPizza Posted July 1, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 1, 2018 Look for mandarin collar shirts. Any tux store carries them. They are very fashionable and considered just as formal as any other tux look. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
