Roxxy Posted June 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2018 Do any of the cruise lines offer an excursion to Iguazu Falls? Which port of call would be closest to them?
capriccio Posted June 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2018 I know Princess offers cruise tours (https://www.princesscruises.de/en/cruise-tours/south-america/iguazu-falls-adventure). We considered a Princess cruise tour in January 2017 but it was very expensive. I made similar arrangements for less than half the price they charged. FinnishFun Posted June 20, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 20, 2018 HAL does out of Buenos Aires. I have booked with an outside tour agency for 1/3 the price.
FredZiffle Posted June 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2018 You don't need an excursion or a private tour to visit Iguazu Falls. If you were flying to Toronto, you'd book the flight, a hotel, and necessary transportation yourself. This is no different and just as easy with a little research. Read the myriad of posts on this board from others who have made the trip. We even used Delta Sky Miles for the flight from BA to Iguazu since the primary airline that flies the route is a partner airline of Delta. iancal Posted June 28, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 28, 2018 We went via BA. We made our own arrangements. Ship tour prices are scandalous. Overpriced by at least double. We dd not even consider the ships tour.

4774Papa Posted July 1, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 1, 2018 All the cruise lines charge way too much for such excursions. Do it yourself.
iancal Posted July 2, 2018 #8 Share Posted July 2, 2018 We got much better airline fares (than we saw on NA websites) by calling direct to the Aerolineas call center in BA. The kind lady on the Aerolineas north american 1800 number gave us the details and assured us that they spoke english. We logged in their Argentine web site. Picked our flights and then called the call center. Flights were about 30 percent less than the best price we could find on matrixit, expedia, etc. The only issue was that they could only charge 5000 p on one transaction so I waited about minutes while they put through two Visa transactions. Confirmation, tickets, etc emailed immediately. Had them before I ended the call with the CSR.
