Is he Westerdam nice and modern?

Sailed the Zaandam last spring and not too impressed with what we thought was dated decor. But we pick the ships according to itinerary so just curious as to the design elements.

I like it(been on the Westerdam 3 times(!) but your mileage may vary; I know "a lot" of people don't like the new EXC/Crow's Nest but I like it just fine.

The Crow"s Nest redecoration was a waste of space and the Explorations menu quite reduced.

The Westerdam's decor is quite varied. Some is in the grey and beige scheme (CN, Rijkmuseum area) other rooms are more standard HAL.

 

The newer additions tend to the more modern. Carpeting is beautiful and the upholstery is very elegant.
