cruisinmeme Posted July 6, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Magen's Bay in St. Thomas That peaked my interest when i read about it. Being listed as one of 10 most beautiful beaches. Is it best to do ship excursions?
plum24 Posted July 6, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 6, 2018 We grabbed a taxi to Magen's Bay. No need to book $$$ excursion. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
GoTravelLife Posted July 6, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 6, 2018 We usually take the water taxi to St John and go snorkeling at Cinnamon bay. Absolutely my favorite beach in the world. Then we grab lunch at Cruz bay, take the ferry back and board the ship Have always done on our own. We get up early to be off ship and to ferry early :) Sent from my iPhone using Forums
chloemonkey Posted July 6, 2018 #6 Share Posted July 6, 2018 Jost Van Dyke out of Tortola is our favorite beach.....but ship excursions here sell out quickly! We just booked a cruise for October and this excursion is already gone.....looking in to a private charter.
sykimball1498 Posted July 6, 2018 #7 Share Posted July 6, 2018 I second Magen's Bay in St. Thomas. I think the shuttle is $7 for round trip and another $4-5 for the beach per person, but you can do it on your own and save some money. I'm sure shore excursion will be much more than the $12 per person to go here. They do have a bar area and a gift shop so you can get drinks, food and souveniers as well. I think you can rent equipment but we haven't done that before so not sure.
