You book a table in one of the specialty restaurants that participate , not all do.

Show your black card to them and they will tell you what is on the tasting menu.

 

I always go to the venues before booking to find out what is on each menu

Depending on the restaurant, you may be able to swap items from the Black Card menu with some from the main one. We've done this in the Oriental restaurants on Musica class ships and also in Galaxy on Divina and Preziosa. In some restaurants on the newer build ships you can order items from the main menu instead with a hefty discount applied (50% IIRC).

Apparently on the Divina, Feb 2018, it was different. We went to both the Galaxy and Eatry . We ordered from the main menu. There was no such thing as a Taste menu.

Don't know if they have recently changed it.

we'll be on the Seaside and would like to try the steakhouse, does anybody have experienced it with the steakhouse?

There's a section on Butcher's Cut menu entitled 'Dining Experience' which Black Card holders get to choose 3 courses from. Here's a photo of the one on Meraviglia (prices are in Euros). I've seen the exact menu posted here from Seaside in one of the many threads about the ship

 

 

 

 

As you can see, you can replace one of the items with one from the a la carte for 50% of the listed price.

One day if was great and the next time it was awful...not the food so much but the service...DH never got his meal!! :o
