alphadog Posted July 24, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2018 My lovely wife and I will be spending 3 days in Venice pre-cruise and the variety of tourist cards is making my head spin. We are going to see as much as we can so will purchase the 48 or 72 hour vaporetto card BUT which tourist card should I consider or is it not worth it? Thanks, David
Grandma Cruising Posted July 24, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2018 Depends what you want to see. You need to check out the prices of the places you want to go to, then work out if any of the tourist cards will save you money. We just had 2 days in Venice, but had been to the Doges Palace & St Marks before, so we just bought entry tickets to the Peggy Guggenheim Gallery. (BTW, if you want to go to the Doges Palace I recommend doing the ‘Secret Itinerary’ tour. It’s excellent. Sent from my iPad using Forums
alphadog Posted July 24, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted July 24, 2018 Thanks for the reply. I'd like to drill down a bit because there are SO MANY flavors of cards.
Redtravel Posted September 30, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2018 Bought the Venice card on our first trip to Venice. Total waste of money.
marylizcat Posted September 30, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 30, 2018 We bought the museum pass at Ca Rezzonico and then also used it at the Doge’s Palace and the Correr Museum. Sent from my iPad using Forums
