Escape - La Cucina

Hi. I read somewhere that the menu has changed recently and supposedly a little better. Does anyone have a copy of the new menu? Thank you!

The menu wasn’t really the issue for us but the food quality was. It has always been “okay” and we never had anything awful, but it could have been better..

We've enjoyed La Cucina on the Escape several times. Have had good service in there also. If menu changes hope someone will post for us.

We enjoyed La Cucina many times on the Breakaway. We've taken 2 cruises on the Escape since they started sailing out of NY and both times we were very disappointed in the food and the service. It's just not as well run as the one on the Breakaway.

We really enjoyed our dinner on the Getaway at La Cucina and are looking forward to eating there on the Escape. Also would like to see if there is a new menu.

So with the dining package, we chose La cucina as one of our evenings...what are we allowed to have? One from each area? soup, salad, pasta, entree? How does that work? Thanks!

I'm not sure how a person could eat that much food at one sitting, honestly, but I think you can order one item from each section. We skipped the antipasta & pasta, had a salad, entree, a side and dessert. The entree portion was HUGE and the fresh bread served at the beginning of the meal was divine (the best bread we were served anywhere all week.)

Last I checked, you could order whatever you wanted except only one entree from the T&Cs or if it was an upcharge item.

 

However, it has been widely reported here and our experience you'll get waiters telling you that you can order only limited items (like soup or salad) or only one side or other limits to the various non-entree sections. YMMV.
