You also need to bring meds in original bottles along with a list from the doctor when traveling to Australia. We complied with this country’s requirement but we’re not asked to display it when going through customs.

Pharmacies can “bubble pack” medications. That way they are sealed with the name of the medication and your name. They may be able to add vitamins as well.

We have always been told to take the medication in the original wrapper / container and a copy of the prescription with us (we take enough for the trip plus a few days). Our Dr actually prints our requirements out on a form he has. We have never been queried by Customs (or TSA in the States), but we feel that is a necessary precaution.

Why?

 

I have traveled to over 140 countries, also without ever being queried. As I mentioned, my boss used to travel with refrigerated, injectable (packing in the one time use injector), and the only query was, what is this. He told them, and that was it.

A few people have mentioned that there are countries that do not allow you to carry certain drugs with you. I assume that if you leave them on the ship while you are ashore, there is no problem?
