Coffee Card on Empress of the Seas, is the specialty coffee good?

Thinking of doing the specialty coffee card (15 cups for $31 + 18%) on an upcoming Empress of the Seas. It is the only package that makes any sense for us.

Seems like a reasonable deal and I figure we would drink that many

I do the coffee cards. Best about them is you can take them from ship to ship if not used up. Some things to note...punches are theoretically per shot of espresso in your drink. A small cappuccino has 1 shoot and is one punch. A medium size is 2 punches and a large is 3 punches. I found it best to stick with the small (sometimes 2 small cups to take back to the casino).

On Majesty last week I came back from a hot day in Havana and wanted something cold. Ordered a Mocha Frappuccino and paid with the card. 3 punches although the menu board said $3.75. So, instead of $3.75 + 18%, I paid $6.00 +18%. Will not do that again.

My wife didn't particularly like the regular coffee on Empress, but really enjoyed the cappuccino from the coffee bar. It's just forward/connected to Boleros. The aft facing deck just behind Boleros was a peaceful spot to sit and enjoy the coffee while watching the wake.
