Do you need to have your cruise paid in full before you are able to begin booking on the Cruise Planner?

Nope.

Not at all! You do have to pay for things in your cruise planner immediately though. Unlike other cruise lines I’ve been on.

On most lines, no but you may want to check with the cruise line to be sure.

No need to check. It’s been answered. Pretty easy question that pretty near anyone who has sailed in Royal could answer.

Thanks for the quick reply, one additional question...How far in advance is the planner available? I tried to look for drink package prices, but it is saying "booking not found" Cruise is May 2019.

No set time for reservations to become available. Check the Cruise Planner periodically.

With all the RCI computer issues, you may need to try to go into Royal Caribbean.com through Chrome, Fire Fox or Internet Explorer. Or, make sure to clear all of your cookies.

 

I had originally received the very same generic message early after booking; then questioned the Crown & Anchor and was told the above. My end of February cruise has been there ever since. Today I received a "Sale" notice via email and was easily able to book Specialty Dining, Drink Packages or Spa treatments. When they want money, it seems to work! Good luck. You can't book shows until about 90 days prior to sailing (thus right around final payment).

I think it’s very unusual that you cannot see your planner for May 2019. Entertainment might be delayed - but shore excursions, drinks, WiFi, dinner are usually out.

 

What ship / sailing date? Have you posted to your roll call? Are others having the same problem?

 

You might want to call and see if you can book drinks over the phone.

Depends on the ship/sailing. I think I was first able to book my drink and dinner packages for Symphony about 9 months in advance.

Agreed, my next sailing is 8 months away on "Adventure of the Seas" and I'm not able to access the reservations yet. But that's on the mobile app, it may be different on the website.
