riffatsea Posted September 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2018 New to Princess and not sure how things work for Roll Call "meet ups"? Our particular roll call has lots of folks listed but few actually chatting. Some of us newbies have suggested a meet up after muster on our first day but looking at the deck plan of the Coral it is hard to see a good spot for this to happen. Any ideas?? Some of us newbies have suggested a meet up after muster on our first day but looking at the deck plan of the Coral it is hard to see a good spot for this to happen. Any ideas?? The Cruise Critic roll call meet and greet for the 6 January 2019 cruise is at the Wheelhouse Bar/Lounge at 10:30 am on 7 January. It was arranged through Princess who reserved that space for us. After muster is a difficult time as the bar spaces are in use. Once on the Island with a very small roll call we met after muster on one of the outdoor deck spaces. Maybe by one of the pool areas would work.

We had ours in Crooners. We find the actual turnout to be about 60% less than advertised. :(
Alaskanb Posted September 10, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 10, 2018 The Princess contact is Grayr, Bernadine (PCL) <bgrayr@princesscruises.com Colo Cruiser is correct --I usually estimate a turn out of about 50%. Princess regards these as private parties and it will not be announced in the Princess Patter --the daily announcements. Your group appears to want a mini sail away gathering so make sure you have a way to identify each other --some folks use Halloween or Mardi Gras beads. riffatsea Posted September 10, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted September 10, 2018 Thanks! We shall see what happens. Yes, I do understand that often few people show up. We have been on other sailings where there were only 2 couples. No worries about it. We usually manage to meet many folks on board without any of these organized events. Rare TracieABD Posted September 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted September 10, 2018 We had an unofficial meet up, immediately following muster, at one of the aft bars on the Regal. About 15 people showed up- which was pretty darn good! Because we were sharing some shore excursions, it was a good chance to get acquainted before the official meet and greet- which was a couple days into the cruise. famski740 Posted September 10, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 10, 2018 You never get very many at a Meet & Greet after muster (passengers getting luggage put away and dressed for early dinner). That said, at every cruise we always plan to meet at one of the outside bars for sail away. On the Coral, we usually use the Bar & Grill on deck 15. Everyone tries to wear Mardi Gras beads in order to be recognized.

There are some impromptu sailaway get togethers up on deck. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
