Rare MeganGC1983 Posted September 20, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2018 We recently returned from the Carnival Fascination, and we received the “up to 20% off” email. I’m going through “mock booking” potential cruises, and I’m not seeing the price decrease at all. We can get the OBC and what not, but not even 5%, 10% off on 7 day sailings! What am I missing? TIA! Sent from my iPhone using Forums That's off their supposed full rates, but like you said, you see those same rates for any booking. The sales are never really sales. OBC is about the best perk you are looking at I booked our next one under a casino rate that is supposed to be "up to 500 off" rates, but even running it through a regular rate (not signing into my vifp number) our booking is really only 90 cheaper. We have other perks with the casino booking (free drinks in casino, free money) that make it worthwhile

I remember it taking some off then. This is somewhat insulting. If they aren’t going to offer it, don’t email it. Call it what it is. We have air credit, so I’m looking into land vacations now as well. Disappointing. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Tiger0613 Posted September 20, 2018 #4 Share Posted September 20, 2018 The post cruise rate takes $5 off the regular early saver rate for at least the first two guests in the cabin. After those two weeks, you should notice that the early saver rate goes up $5 per person for at least the first two guests. I don't know about 3rd/4th/5th guests. I have only ever booked one or two people. It also has a two category upgrade. That "upgrade" takes a few more dollars off the price. The rate gives $50 OBC($100 for suites). It isn't as much as before, but it still lowers your overall costs.
Stick93 Posted September 21, 2018 #5 Share Posted September 21, 2018 The offer is a bit misleading. When I got home I booked a cruise but the savings are not for ALL cruises - it’s for select cruises. When you go through the link it will give you which cruises are offered for each day. If it’s a port like New York in the summer - forget any type of real discount. Saved about enough get a $10 t-shirt at the sale! I didn’t even get ship credit for all the rooms I booked! The bottom line is - we all love cruising and we book anyways. They don’t have to give us anything as we come back each time. When that changes the offer will change. Cruzn4fun14 Posted September 22, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 22, 2018 Check any other booked cruises thru the email link. We just got back today and I was able to get a $50 and $60 price credit on our 2 cruises in 2019. Sent from my iPad using Forums
