NCL Boston to Bermuda

From 2008 to 2016 we have cruised from Boston to Bermuda on the Dream, Spirit & Dawn. We took 2017 off because we are doing the Pride of America Hawaiian cruise this year. Next year in 2019 or 2020 we are thinking about cruising back to Bermuda, however the number of cruises in September and October are (either or), almost nil during September and October. Does any know why NCL is cutting the number of cruises? NCL cannot claim that they are not sailing full out of Boston.

NCL does a New England/Canada cruise out of Boston during Sept/Oct instead of Bermuda

I think they are just changing things up a bit and Sept./Oct gives them risk of hurricane season for Bermuda. I'm also guessing the fall trips to Canada and NE are maybe becoming more popular as there weren't a lot of them in the past.

We just returned yesterday from RCI Serenade of the Seas Boston to Bermuda round trip. I have to say, food in the main dining room blew NCL away, and we are platinum on NCL and have done Boston to Bermuda well over a dozen times, as well as other itineraries out of NY and London.

Rooms were much nicer, with better storage. What we did miss on NCL was the 24 hour dining at O'Sheehans or Blue Lagoon, and the sail away parties. NCL's are just much better in our opinion.

So, if you want to go to Bermuda next year in Sept/Oct, I would not hesitate to book RCI Serenade of the Seas. They start with a 5 nighter on Sept. 10th. This year, we got into Bermuda at 8 a.m. and departed two days later at 3 p.m. We were the only ship in port.

We sail RCL and NCL several times a year each (2 RCL and 3 NCL this year). We have found NCL MDR food consistently better than Royal.

NCL is always updates their menus to cater to the contemporary cruiser. They just did another menu update a few weeks ago.
