dwayneb236 Posted October 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 2, 2018 Will be cruising out of Miami in February. Went out of Port Everglades last year and the Mobile Passport was active. Been looking around to see any experience with it in Miami. Went to the App site and it stated as of September 2018 it is in Miami? Is this a fact or just wishful thinking on the app's part. Anyone used it there yet?
Husky61 Posted October 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 2, 2018 Why would mobile passport post it on their app if it wasn't accurate?
dwayneb236 Posted October 2, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted October 2, 2018 Mainly because people are involved. Ever seen anything posted that wasn't completely true? It happens. You've been around here long enough to know that.
BENHANDEL Posted October 6, 2018 #4 Share Posted October 6, 2018 Curious...had never even heard of mobile passport before this thread...from what I see, it is at MIA but not POM. https://www.cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/mobile-passport-control
paulh84 Posted October 6, 2018 #5 Share Posted October 6, 2018 The Mobile Passport site lists POM and the app itself shows it available also. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
migirl2014 Posted October 7, 2018 #6 Share Posted October 7, 2018 Very happy to see POM is on the App. Interested to see how it works next spring break! Thanks for the thread.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums This is probably a dumb question based on my newbie status... Is the code MSP, for Miami Seaport, the same thing as Port of Miami, POM in other people's posts? TrinityFL Posted November 30, 2019 #9 Share Posted November 30, 2019 At the Port today one employee directed us to the front of the line. When we went up to the official checking the passports, he said they don’t take the app.
ericopia Posted December 2, 2019 #10 Share Posted December 2, 2019 We disembarked at Terminal A yesterday ... there was no Mobile Passport line at Customs (and for passengers with a passport ... there was no line at all, really – just a bunch of facial-recognition scanners). There was a long-ish line for folks traveling on birth certificate/ID combo instead of a passport, though. I've never been off a ship and out the door so quickly. (Wish I'd known not to bother fighting with the Mobile Passport app over our last onboard breakfast.)
BNBR Posted December 3, 2019 #11 Share Posted December 3, 2019 Yup, for Royal terminal A, as long as you have a passport, just walk through the facial scanners. It's nearly instant, don't even need to take the passport out of your bag.
