Southern Caribbean in Dec 7 -16

Anything after Thanksgiving or Dec 1 is appropriate for Xmas colors (IMO).

I'll be on my first RCI cruise at the same time as you (a transatlantic). Most lines, as testified to on CC, have lessened their required and even their suggested dress codes for MDR. Many passengers do not like to pack extra bags (and pay for them on airlines) to dress up for dinner, and the lines have bowed to that.

That said, you can dress up as much as you want to! Velvet, however, is not going to pack well and likely too warm...

We cruised the Southern Caribbean in November of 2016 and it was much warmer than the Eastern Caribbean. I wear white all the time...never paid attention to that rule about putting it away after Labor Day! I personally would leave the velvet at home and save it for a Christmas party in the states. It would be too warm for me on a ship. I took t-shirts, tanks, thin shorts, a few dress slacks and blouses, and I'm a huge fan of little black dresses. It's a great itinerary. I don't think I've ever dressed for a holiday, speaking for myself.
