questioning an upgrade

Call Princess and inform them you need an ADA room close to an elevator

In my post ( 17 ) I said I do not need an accessible cabin as like many old cruisers it is a mobility problem, namely I can't stand or walk for any length of time.  Leave special cabins for those that are much worse off.

I did not ask for an upgrade, Princess gave me one to a slightly larger cabin and I asked if I could be moved to one nearer the elevators as I explained in my previous post.  This they said was not possible even though I paid what is now working out to be thousands more originally.

Could have saved heaps and even a better located cabin if I had not booked so early on ( a year ago ).

Seems to be happening a lot more downunder and puts you off booking early if you can't expect some consideration.

Thought with it being a Christmas cruise I had better get in early, but did not fully consider the Majestic being such a big ship that it might be hard to fill and good specials would come up later.

As I said earlier it is only a bit of paperwork and not costing Princess anything.
