Anthem NJ teachers week

We have booked the anthem for Nov 3. We live in Texas so it was by chance we found out yhe a lot of NJ schools have off that week.

i think this may be a problem.  Can anyone offer any advise on how overrun with kids this sailing may be.

There will definitely be alot more kids on the sailing, but I really wouldn't worry too much about it. More room in the solarium.

I just googled New Jersey Public school closings. I live in NY so I'm not sure what they do in New Jersey but that sounds like an odd week for schools to be closed.  Here is a link to New Jersey School Calendar. The NJ teachers have their Convention in Atlantic City usually the first week in November.  The convention usually begins on Thursday, however, with election day and sometimes "teacher in-service days" the kids are out of school 3-4 days during the week.

 I was on that sailing last year. It's called Jersey week. I heard there was over 1000 kids on board. Didn't bother me one bit, because i was with my kids. It's usually a Kids Sail Free cruise.  Surprised  RCI hasn't caught  on.

Yes, it is "Jersey Week" so you will see more kids on board than other weeks during so called off-season.  Hopefully, they will not open the Solarium for all ages so you can have a place to relax if you want to avoid kids.  I am sure you will have a wonderful time regardless.  Enjoy.

We're going on the trip because of teacher's week, too. We're in NJ and it's a very simple drive for us.

Plan on more kids than XMas.

 

My kids are 5 and 7, but they're cute. 😉

I called Royal today and specifically asked them, a supervisor answered me by saying they expect under 600 under at 17  for the week, she said for fall sailings it was about a 35% uptick.
