Day 4: Dinner at Solarium Bistro:

We arrived a bit early for our 5:30 dinner appointment, so I got some evening pictures of the area.

This would be a great spot for a family picture.  We will try it later this week woth my tripod.  Hoping to get our Christmas picture done here.

We decided to splurge (aka break the cruise budget rule) on lamb chops.  For $ 9.99 it was worth the special treat!

DS had the herb chicken.

Tip:  You may notice that the chicken and a majority of meals in the bistro come without sides.  You can choose your own sides from a buffet area in the bistro.

On the way out, we found a stowaway just outside the Solarium!  😁

Really enjoying your review and pictures!

Did you answer what type of camera you use?  If you did, sorry for the repeat.

No worries!  I do not expect anyone to read every detail.

I use a Nikon P900 most of the time.  Sometimes, I use my older Nikon 9900 or my iPhone 6 (You read that right: iPhone 6 - It is part of our cruise budget) 😁

The Fine Line: Show in the Aqua Theater:

After dinner, we had show reservations for The Fine Line, the more formal/serious diving show.  It was a bit beyond my not-so-artistic brain, but the robotic dances were excellent.  I could not follow a storyline... We did, however, enjoy some of the show.  It is just not “a repeater”.  It started raining, so many people left the show.

Tip:  Try to get seats under the overhang if you do not want to get wet.  Even if it does not rain, the aerobatic performers may drip water on you.

This was my favorite part of the show.  These men were doing acrobatics on bungee/elastic ropes (pardon the lack of jargon):

Love your review!  Thanks!

We just got off the Harmony a couple of weeks ago, and am truly reliving our great time.  And despite cruising Oasis class ships 8 times, I’m still learning new tips from you.  Really appreciate your posts!

ADPMOM, do you plan to do a review of your MSC Seaside cruise? If you are, I will be making a note to myself to look for it!

Hi, Nancy!

I love doing the live reveiws, as it gets too busy at home to juggle everything.  So, I will probably do one, depending on the MSC Seaside wifi price and quality.

🙂

That compass “only” took 28 minutes to upload 😂 Wifi is SLOW.  But I am not complaining, as I am enjoying my balcony.

Tip:  If you plan on using the internet extensively, buy the surf and stream in advance when it is on sale in your cruise planner.  We prefer to use our diamond discount onboard, which saves us money.  However, the cruise planne surf and stream is a good deal too.

Note about surf:  It is very slow for uploads, but I was able to do a 45-minute WhatsApp video call with my family in Namibia while giving them a tour of the ship!  Excellent quality! 🙂

Early Morning - on the way to St Kitts:

Good morning from a wakeview that never gets old.

I did a morning walk to the jogging track and my favorite early morning spot for coffee and quiet time:

After lunch we walk through Central Park back to the Schooner in order to wait for rooms to be ready345FB719-2191-4C92-9A42-B2C2BF00F830.thumb.jpeg.87b7ca60b693ee3d4ef65608e7b5c9f4.jpeg

We did not buy the drinks package, as the 3 free drinks from Diamond are plenty for us.  We do allow a splurge every now and then, so my boarding treat was an Amaretto Sour.  DH asked the bar tender for a cherry, as he knows I like them.  The bar tender kindly added six!  😁

Hi there! I'm really enjoying your review. DH and I will be on the Harmony next April. We are Diamond members, but haven't cruised on RC in quite a while. What's the deal with 3 free drinks? Do you have to go to a certain bar at a specific time? Let me know how this works. Happy Sailing!

Hi, Eaglerockers!

You have two options for the free diamond drinks.  You could go to the lounge and enjoy unlimited drinks from the specific menu, or order 3 drinks from almost any bar from the same selections.  This runs daily from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m.  Only the Rising Tide bar and the Bionic bar are excluded on Harmony.  The 3 free drinks are automatically uploaded onto your seapass card.  You can even use them at the shows.  I will try to get a picture of the drink options tomorrow.  🙂

Another excellent review by ADPMOM. Are there any tour operators at the port in St. Kitts offering reasonable priced island tours? The cruise planner has $29 per person for a 2 hour drive.

Thank you

Hi, Tee & Chilli!

Thank you for following along. I did not find out about pricing in St. zkitts.  However, the tour that Thenford Grey offers is the same I had done through the cruiseline.  I paid a lot more than it would have cost through Thenford.  I will highly recommend that tour, which stops at Caribelle Batik and the Brimstone Fortress.  Also, Thenford comes highly recommended by all here on CC.

If you are not interested in that option, I am sure you can get a $10 to $20 tour in the port for the 2 hours.  I would just be careful in St. Kitts to find a reputable company.  Maybe look at Tripadvisor.  🙂

Hope this helps!
