need2cruisesoon Posted November 12, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2018 Positives: - MDR (Savor, Taste, Manhattan) - drinks: BBC, Kettel One Martinis - Service, in all areas - aft cabin location and and aft elevators - angled balcony location deck 13 - Uptown, Havana - bar sevice - cleanliness of ship - Waterfront - layout of the ship - officers visible throughout the cruise - AC in cabin - fitness center - Starbucks - $20/bag laundry turn around 1 day - spice/H2O jacuzzis good for sunsets - towel animals - Mixx bar Not so good: - ports, Ensenada and Guatemala a bust - atrium too small for shows - slow internet at times - beds too firm - repetition of foods in the buffet - theater seems small for a ship of this size - Ocean Blue - Cagneys - expensive spa services - some shore excursions seem disorganized any questions I’ll answer thanks,
jkburns Posted November 12, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2018 First and foremost, thank you for sharing your cruise with us. I am sailing on the Bliss next month, and my wife is a huge seafood lover. I have been planning to surprise her with a meal at Ocean Blue; but now I'm not so sure. Can you please delineate (I know, that's a big word like gymnasium) your dissatisfaction with that restaurant? Again, my thanks!
teachberry Posted November 12, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2018 I'm reading reports that there are lots of folding chairs...in the buffet and other areas. Have you noticed? Thanks.
lynnber Posted November 12, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2018 We're sailing on the Bliss on the 17th. What day to you get to Miami? Seems like the first for this ship, which scares me some. I'd love to be able to see how other passengers did with embarkation, excursions, etc with the itinerary we're going on, but of course it will be the first time. Do they seem organized and confident, or does it feel like a series of firsts? Does the onboard app actually do anything? Can you text to fellow passengers? Thanks! Fincherson Posted November 12, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 12, 2018 I'm sailing on Bliss in June and the lack of conversation about it makes me nervous. I've been doing searches of course, but it's nice to see some fresh conversations.
tallnthensome Posted November 12, 2018 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2018 How does the bag of laundry work? Is there a bag already in your cabin that you give to your steward? how big is the bag roughly? We are on the March Panama Canal sailing and have two kids in tow so laundry will be helpful. Just wondering how much will fit in a bag for $20. Thanks ......
