Carnival Sail and Sign Card- Paying Balance

We will be attaching a credit card to our Sail and Sign Card for our upcoming cruise but are wondering if we could just pay our balance off as we go with cash? and if so, does it have to be at Costumer Service or can we do it at the Kiosk. If not, on the last day when we get the bill, can we pay cash on the final bill or is the credit card just automatically charged the final amount?

Thanks all,

Welcome to Cruise Critic.  There are boards here for most of the cruise lines, and questions specific to Carnival will get the best answers on the Carnival board, under Cruise Lines A-O.

That said, yes, you can put cash on your bill any time, at Guest Services and/or at the kiosk.  EM

Nothing is actually CHARGED to the credit card until the cruise is over.  I would do the cash thing on the last afternoon...then let any little bit I'd charge the last evening go to the credit card....but how much you spend on the last night may dictate that for you!

You can deposit cash as you go along, deposit  in cash as you board the amount you think your on-board spending would come to, or pay in cash the last day;  but why?

If you can pay cash as you go along, you can also set those funds aside and pay the credit card bill when it comes.  Accepting the nuisance, and risk, of carrying large amounts of cash, when leaving the charges on your card is easier and safer, is hard to understand.

Welcome to Carnival.

You can pay cash any time.  Several times through the cruise, or all at once on the last evening when you think you've made your last charge.  If you miss a final nightcap, it will go to your credit card on file.

There are several ways to check your balance throughout the cruise.  Guest Services will give you your balance any time.

Assuming you have pre-paid your gratuities there should be no surprises.

I hope you have a great cruise.

Just a tip,,,,especially for young cruisers.  Using a credit card, and paying off the total balance when due, is a clear patch to building a good credit rating which can serve you well in the future.  Using cash does nothing to improve one's credit rating.  If you have the cash, why not use your credit card and then just pay it off as soon as you get the statement...before it incurs and extra interest.
