Aunu Posted November 25, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2018 We are in port 7-3 (Tortola) Theres an excursion with the cruise line that is 3 1/4 hours long, starting at 11:30. That means we would get back to the ship at 2:45. Seems like it would be cutting it awfully close. I know if we book with the ship they wont leave without us. Right??? aceparty Posted November 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2018 Yep. If you book with the cruise line you should be ok.

Nola26 Posted November 26, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 26, 2018 This concern is precisely why many book with the cruise line, peace of mind. Now just make sure you return directly to the ship upon return, don't trail off for shopping, do that before the excursion.
casofilia Posted November 26, 2018 #6 Share Posted November 26, 2018 They will wait when you are on an NCL tour; if the shorex is running late it may well be shortened by missing out something. If that happens ask for a partial refund, politely and also in writing, while on board to the Shorex desk.
Rare sparks1093 Posted November 26, 2018 #7 Share Posted November 26, 2018 We returned once on a CCL excursion 30 minutes after the on board time. The ship was in radio contact with the bus all the way back to the port asking for updates.
Rare JamieLogical Posted November 26, 2018 #8 Share Posted November 26, 2018 I did an excursion through NCL while in Bar Harbor, ME and even though all aboard time was 5:00 pm, the excursion was scheduled to run until 5:30. I double and triple checked that it would be safe to book and they assured me it was. They were right. The folks on my excursion got to take the last tender back to the ship with the crew who had an all aboard time of 5:30. So, don't stress out! As long as you book though NCL and you stick with your tour, you will be fine!
