Noworkforme23 Posted December 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2018 With all the reports of difficulty getting an Uber at the port of Miami back to the airport now with the terminal issue & RCCL mega ship do you think it would be best to pre-reserve a town car ride with Execucar instead? I use them quite frequently. We are sailing on the NCL Bliss & come back into Miami at 8:00 am on Dec 15 for our 1:40 flight.
JohninDC Posted December 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2018 (edited) Have not heard reports of Uber issues at POM? There are always a line of taxis waiting and the flat rate fare between POM and MIA airport is $27+tip -- UberX or Lyft will be closer to $20. How much is the reserved town car? Larry's Limos is the most often suggested private transport option. Edited December 1, 2018 by JohninDC
Noworkforme23 Posted December 1, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted December 1, 2018 The quote was approx $72 for Execucar for 2 people. Where do you get the Ubers to the airport when you disembark from the ship? Is it hard to find your Uber driver?
xcell Posted December 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2018 Careful with the Taxis -- some might turn on he meter or charge you more, especially if you get a minivan taxi. I'd go for Uber -- price is well quoted.
JohninDC Posted December 1, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2018 Uber and Lyft apps give you the make, color and license plate # of the car - easy to find; call or text the driver if you have concerns. The flat rate cab fare is supposed to be posted on the rate sheet in the taxi - let the driver know that you know about it up front and you should not have an issue. Rare Keith1010 Posted December 2, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 2, 2018 With a 1:40 PM flight you have time on your side. I would use Uber. Taxi can be your backup. Keith

reno3 Posted December 14, 2018 #8 Share Posted December 14, 2018 (edited) Anyone here know where you go once you are outside the terminal (POM) to get your Uber? Is there an area to go to that they pick you up at? Edited December 14, 2018 by reno3
