Mostly shirts and ties and some suits, along with dresses for the ladies. I saw very few tuxes or ball gowns.

That would have been us! Tux and evening gown always on Dress Up Night, whatever the cruise line. Sorry we didn't get to meet you Andy but you were always so busy 🥂😎

This is just what I needed after my 29 days on the Eclipse. I’m certainly have cruise withdrawal. Gosh Imhave to make my own coffee and then wash the dishes. I have enjoyed you review and loved the pics.  How was the humidity?

i don’t mind warm weather the the humidity kills me.

Glad to,hear you will cruise again.

Norma

Thank you.

It has been pretty humid from Singapore up to Ho Chi Minh. Hue was slightly less so and Halong was just nice and warm. Hong Kong is not humid. It was a lovely day yesterday but today it has rained non stop.

Great  live review and loved your pictures.. thank you for taking  us along your adventure.

As a first time cruiser, do you like cruising?

Have you book your second cruise?

Thank you.

I loved it. The seas were a bit rougher than I anticipated but I soon got used to it and it didn't make me ill.

Yes,  I've booked cruises 2, 3 & 4! 😊

It feels like a lifetime ago but it was just yesterday morning that we arrived into Hong Kong.

I had planned to take part in 3 free walking tours but things didn't go quite to plan.

I didn't sleep too well on Friday night so things seemed bigger dramas than they probably were. When we got to Kai Tak terminal, there were no ATMs. You could get currency exchange, but only with cash which left me a little stuck! Luckily there was a free shuttle to the Mall and I used the ATM there. It was a seriously long way to drag a case to the bus terminal though!

With all the delays, I didn't get to my hotel until 11.30 so I missed the 11.00 tour. I was shattered so I didn't make the 5.45pm night food market tour either!

I did make the tour from the clock  tower ast Tsim Sha Tsui though. Here are a few pics...

Today has been a very busy day in Hong Kong which is why it probably feels like I've been here forever. Unlike yesterday though, it has been non stop rain and a little chilly at times.

I started off the day with a visit to the Ten Thousand Buddha Monastery. Along with lots and lots of buddhas, there was a Pagoda and a handful of monkeys too.

DSC_1821.thumb.JPG.43ac051b7e6122b54a71577249b58f41.JPGDSC_1828.thumb.JPG.8f5ed83b5275d0c87a19235da2e3253f.JPGDSC_1839.thumb.JPG.60eebac961d1c755fcff7520313d7f1a.JPGDSC_1876.thumb.JPG.79f950444c2976af432c40bab36dd3af.JPGDSC_1881.thumb.JPG.60d4024c407e31fb5a49fa8fc0e72318.JPG

Next stop was Nan Lian Gardens which are beautiful. The video above is from the gardens but I can't seem to move it here.

Then it was on to Po Lin Nunnery. I found this place very moving. Quite unlike me.

And finally this evening, I took the Peak Tram up to the top. It took a very long time to do. At least 90 minutes to reach the top with all the queuing, despite having fast track tickets. Unfortunately, once I reached the top, the weather was so bad, this was all I saw..

I did get one on the bus back down which was a little better.

That's it for day 2 in HK. Tomorrow is Ocean Park, Disney and Symphony of Lights from an Aqua Luna junk boat followed by Pulse festive light show.

Christmas Eve was a very packed day!

I started off at Ocean Park at 10am when it opened and got on the big 3 rides, (Arctic Blast, Hair Raiser and Mine Train Gear VR) along with having a good wander around. Hair Raiser is a full on coaster!

Next it was on to HK Disney. It only got on one ride as I had done them all at Orlando so I caught a few of the shows, including the main parade and The Lion King.

The day was finished off with a trip around the bay in the Aqua Luna junk boat, taking in the Christmas Symphony of Lights show. To say it was a spectacular sight is a massive understatement.

Final updates when I get home tomorrow, including Christmas Day and hopefully all the Dailies will upload correctly!

Asia has been incredible and I highly recommend visiting if you haven't already.

On the train back home so time for an update.

Boxing Day - the last full day.

I travelled on the MTR to Tung Chung to get the cable car to Ngong Ping for Po Lin Monastery and the Big Buddha.

I love Hong Kong but sightseeing of any kind seems to take an age. When I reached the cable car station I was queueing for 90 minutes before I got on a cable car, (with a pre purchased ticket). As a result, I needed to call my hotel and cancel my reservation for Christmas dinner. Thankfully, it was worth the wait and some delicious chicken curry softened the blow! 😊

I left my hotel at 8.30pm yesterday so I popped out to explore for a while. Is was one of the best days weather wise.

I took a short tram ride, visited a Mall and had a general wander.

When I got back to the hotel it was just in time for sunset and the reason I booked this particular hotel was justified.

Not sure why my pics keep duplicating, but hey ho.

When I get home I will do my best to upload the dailies properly and also post some of the videos I have been unable to.

Hope you have enjoyed following along. If it's even half as much as I did experiencing it all then I'm happy.
