cwr322 Posted December 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2018 (edited) I see that there is a smoking area on deck 5 Portside and deck 11 Starboard, midship and aft. I have not been able to find any specific locations. It is a big ship and I don't want to walk to the wrong end, lol! Any help would be appreciated. We have a ways to go before our cruise, but I have to pass the time. It has been to long since my last cruise and I am super excited! Any info will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! bury me at sea Posted December 10, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 10, 2018 Deck 5, a small area with no tables or cover, outside the nightclub. Or you can go out the Red Frog Pub and it's a very few steps. Deck 11 starboard, from the midship elevators all the way to the aft. Unless they change it. I asked Santa to put one there. But unless they added it in the last 13 hours, there isn’t one there yet. Really easy to tell the smoking part. The smoking part has tables with big ash trays on all of them and people smoking. The non smoking part has tables without ash trays and nobody smoking. It’s really from about the midship elevator lobby and back. Edited December 10, 2018 by Saint Greg

LaHas2016 Posted March 11, 2019 #17 Share Posted March 11, 2019 Am I correct in assuming that, due to not being listed, smoking is prohibited on balconies and cove balconies as well?

When we were on the Dream in January, the smoking area appeared to stretch all the way forward on Deck 11 until you hit the cabins, including people smoking just outside the doors to enter the interior portion of the ship. Also, while smoking on the balconies is prohibited, that did not stop some people from doing it, despite the threat of a $500 fine and forced debarkation. Several times we were driven from our balcony by smoke (though we could not tell exactly where it was coming from).
Joebucks Posted March 13, 2019 #21 Share Posted March 13, 2019 Love the Dream's smoking layout. Very large, and at the back of the ship. Having come from two Fantasy class ships before that, I can say this was one very welcome change. Nothing like a good cigar and strong drink while at sea! Has anyone stayed on deck seven smelled a lot of smoke from that area? Is it the area just outside the nightclub?

We were on Deck 11, near the front on the port side. With the ship moving, there is no way this came from anywhere but forward of our balcony. I imagine when the ship is in port, you might get some drifting smoke from the smoking areas, but I do not know personally.
