Buying alcohol onboard

Traveling with a group of 8.  Thinking about buying a refreshment package for each and then buying bottles of alcohol on board for those who want to spike their drinks (only a few in the group drink).  Is this possible ?

NO.  You cannot buy a bottle for consumption on board.

 

If you buy a bottle in the shop, it is held until disembarkation.

On some of ships, you could buy 375ml. bottles and mixers for cabin consumption. I did it on the Allure in Dec/2017.

Depending on the ship you are on, you can check in the gifts section and see if it’s possible. Royal doesn’t sell the liter bottles for the cabin though like some other lines.

You can order bottles in advance via Royal Gifts. It’s a 375ml bottle (half a fifth) and 4 cans of soda (pop, for us in the Midwest) for $43-50, depending on your selection. But they are supposed to be consumed in your room.

Some people have been know to smuggle booze on board with rum runners or other devices , not that I would ever do anything like that.

People need to stop being cheap.

 

If you want to drink a lot, buy the package.

 

If not pay as you go.

 

If you cannot afford it,  go camping..

I once got kicked out of a campground for sneaking in beer. It was a Boy Scout camp. 😬
