KENCHURCH Posted December 18, 2018 #126 Share Posted December 18, 2018 Thanks for the dinner times information. Going to talk with them once in the ship and work it out. Princess customer service was worthless, kept guarenteeing me 7:15, went through 3 supervisors, told them I was looking at your daily Platter.. they finally said, oh they just changed that for your week... I know better than that. I told them I didn’t mind changes, we have cruised for many years now....just don’t lie to me. Thanks again for all your posts. The food looks great. Can’t believe the head waiter. Our first cruise, too long ago now, my wife never cut her food once. Head waiter on RCL, Nordic Empress, cut every bite for her all week... those days long gone but still expect better service than you are getting. Our family has some food diet requirements as well so I will be sure to keep a look out for things not being right. Never had any problems before on Princess. Princess, Celebrity, Holland America... always right on before. We do a 12 day Holland America cruise in Feb. just the two of us, would rather have had the time issues there, no big deal then. My little guy is a champ but 2nd will be too late. Thanks again. Ken
nukesubsailor Posted December 19, 2018 #127 Share Posted December 19, 2018 I wonder if shortening the smoke stacks will make the soot issue worse or will the scrubbers solve the issue?

FireFighter115 Posted December 19, 2018 #129 Share Posted December 19, 2018 We will be on the Royal in January. Any chance you could find out if the Maitre d' will still be Frederico Arcos? Thanks, FF

She was wearing a beautiful wedding gown, and looked spectacular. Kory, the piano entertainer was putting on a particularly good show, so we just stayed at Crooners. WOW, you’re right, her dress is gorgeous. They look so happy. Sounds like you all had a great time in Crooners.

Rare CanadianBurger Posted December 19, 2018 Author #137 Share Posted December 19, 2018 Had a wonderful evening with our tablemates. We closed Crooners, then played blackjack until we closed the casino too. Some blackjack gripes though: the blackjack payout is 6:5 instead of 3:2 and the minimum bet is now $6. With that odds change it really shifts the advantage to the house. I haven't played onboard, but now won't consider. Did the small print on their special rules say they can deal from the bottom of the deck too;)

Rare CanadianBurger Posted December 19, 2018 Author #143 Share Posted December 19, 2018 The P&O Azura and the Behemoth of the Seas are docked to either side of us. I assumed the barge was refueling her, but the longer it’s there the more I think not. Anyone know?
Rare CanadianBurger Posted December 19, 2018 Author #144 Share Posted December 19, 2018 Thought this was odd... some of the bottled water on the ship is from a Canadian Costco! Did they run out on the Canada & New England cruise and send someone to Costco?
karabear15 Posted December 19, 2018 #145 Share Posted December 19, 2018 Did you find St. Maarten to be overly crowded with the behemoth of the seas in with you guys? It's showing for us that we will be in port with the behemoth, Costa, Azura, and AIDA...yikes!

karabear15 Posted December 19, 2018 #147 Share Posted December 19, 2018 Fair enough...we have a private tour for a good portion of the day, but just looking to get a feel for crowds right in the port area. Enjoy that deserted ship!!
