  1. You may want to check and see if the rooms you are bidding on can accommodate 4 people. We did it once and the 4th person had to sleep on a cot. Check the deck plans and that (hopefully) will show the max in a room. Have a wonderful cruise.
  2. No problems with the shower or lighting. It's not the Ritz but for the amount of time we actually spent in the room it did the job. What did the front desk have to say about it? You may want to e-mail the Holiday Inn and ask for compensation. As far as walking to the port - Uber is only $5. I don't do very well walking any distance and trying to pull my own luggage would be fruitless. Have a wonderful cruise - loving your Live.
  3. We stayed there in February and had no problem with the hotel. The morning breakfast was great. It was about 1/3 the price of other hotels so I guess you get what you pay for. We were in the room for less than 15 hours. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Staff was cordial. Room was clean. Uber to port was $5.
  4. Not everything can be in writing as to what is and what is not allowed. I would guess there are many things which are not permitted, and they are not in writing and a lot of things which are permitted which also are not in writing. It's the cruise lines ship and I hardly think this is a third world problem. If they ask you to take it down, then do it. The world will not end one way or the other.
  5. I have sailed on 20 + Princess cruises. When we first started, we would dress up (no tux). He wore a suit and tie on formal nights and I wore sparkly pants and fancy blouse. Now it's unlikely to see a whole lot of people wearing tuxes and fancy dresses. It sure makes packing a whole lot easier. Now, on formal nights my husband wears nice pants with a collared shirt and tie. I wear black dress pants and a nice blouse. If you want to dress fancy you will not be alone. I would say probably less than 15% go fancy. I have seen a few times where people wearing shorts have been turned away from main dining room. I was on Enchanted the entire month of February this year and people generally wear nice casual. Now, I'll be getting a lot of hate messages. Please be nice.
  6. From the above postings it appears that most non-US cruisers have had their reservations cancelled. I have 5 upcoming cruises and none of the reservations been cancelled. Not sure if this has anything to do with why some have been cancelled and others not.
  7. I have a guaranteed interior cabin (IC) for a July cruise and just received a notice of my cabin which is indicated handicapped accessible. I never requested it and would think there are many interior cabins available. Only thing is I want it on Lido deck and there are no interior non-handicapped accessible rooms available on this floor for this sailing. .
  8. I've noticed on past cruises the formal nights were generally sea days.
  9. Isn't the muster station listed on the back of our stateroom door?
  10. The 360 experience is fabulous. A little pricey but wonderfully executed.

    NUTS!

This past February on Enchanted there were nuts at the buffet.
  12. My last few cruises I have booked guaranteed interior and on two of them I was upgraded to balcony cabins from interior.. One obstructed view and one deluxe balcony. I always go solo. Not a sure thing but something to think about.
  13. I have seen people turned away who have shorts on. Nice jeans, capris, pants are fine.
  14. I thought if you had the plus package there was no additional charge for room service delivery.
  15. I just booked with Home 2 Suites by Hilton and used my AARP card, senior discount and AAA. Really overkill so really only needed one. Free cancelation available up to 6 days before registration. We got a great rate as our stay is not on the weekend.
  16. When on board go to guest services and ask for refund. Or wait until you board and contact the suite concierge and they will reserve the suite for you.
  17. I just got off the Enchanted last week after a 30-day stint. Food was excellent in MDR - better at lunch than at dinner. Our servers were excellent - thank you Omar and Hannah. We had a balcony cabin w/o a sofa. If we had chosen a higher graded balcony, we would have had a couch. I also drank many times at the Good Spirit bar and had no issues with the service. The drinks were probably the best to be had on the ship. We ate at Sabatinis, The Catch by Rudi, The 360 Dining Experience, Alfredos and O'Malley's Irish Pub in addition to the MDR. All excellent service and great food - especially Sabatinis. O'Malley's was very slow, but food was good. It was also very crowded every time it was open. I Be sure and reserve the MDR you want to eat at and the time. Once you are on board you can request the same servers and table and the Maitre D' will try and accommodate you. Our room was serviced twice a day - really only needed once. Plan on 1 to 1/2 hours to dine. Much faster if you don't share a table. The crew still seem overworked, but they always had a smile on their faces, and I was often greeted by name. Casino is very small and smoky. Ship was very clean and well maintained. Only had problem once and they fixed it immediately.
  18. I recently got off the Enchanted from a B2B2B (30 days). Non port days it was not difficult at all to get deck loungers. I usually got there around 10:30 AM. Not likely you can get 7 chairs together. On at sea days it was difficult to get a lounger. The Sun deck (one deck up) has plenty of loungers which you may have better luck with.
  19. It can be very windy at the retreat pool on the Enchanted. Not sure about the other ships.
  20. For the poster who had questions about paying for others who were in a different cabin I simply had my credit card company add them as a user and they got their own card. I think you can even put a limit on how much the individual card can charge. The bill comes directly to us for payment.
  21. I always book B2B's as single trips and have always been given a credit for each segment. I have received the elite bar setup for each leg. Also, the shareholder credit for each leg and my husband has gotten the military credit of 100 for each leg. In 2023 I booked four 7 day cruises and received elite setup for each setup along with 100 s/h credit and 100 military credit. I get casino rates and am able to get free cruise play on each individual voyage. I have also cruised solo and received 2 credits for a 7-day cruise. I tried finding information on Princess website but was unable to find it.
  22. The Royal has a concierge that is located near the Penthouse suites who assists those in full suites. Full suites eat in Reserve Class (formerly Club Class) in a special area and generally there is no waiting to be seated and no reservations are required. Also, breakfast for full suites can be in Sabatinnis restaurant with mimosas available and is considered a step above the Reserve Class breakfasts. Suites receive a mini bar setup. Also, priority port embarkation. Various other items are available. First night specialty dinner is complimentary. You should review the full suite benefits on the Princess web-site.
  23. I currently have access to both the old and new apps. Everything was fine until today. We are on Enchanted B2B2B beginning 2-6. First leg we have assigned cabin, 2nd a guarantee and 3rd assigned. Now new app shows our 2-6 cabin in the cabin assigned for the 3rd leg. Old app is correct. All our specialty reservations are messed up. 2 for each leg and additional 360 for 2nd leg. What a mess. I'm afraid to cancel the incorrect venues in case I can't get into the ones I wanted. I'll try and get this corrected at guest services. Tried correcting on chat feature but every time my turn came up and asked me if I still needed help and I replied yes-it restarted and I went to the bottom of the line. I do like the new app but hope they get the kinks worked out.
