Beppevroomvroom Posted January 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2019 Can anyone talk to me about the kid's clubs (looking at Symphony)? I've only ever used kid's clubs on Disney (which are amaaaaazing) so not sure how it works on RC in comparison. How do they contact you if your child wants to leave? is it an app, or text message? Also, are they likely to allow my 4 year old into the same club as the others in our party (they are 5, 6 & 7 and would appear to be in a different kid's club to him according to age). Thanks in advance :)
Clarea Posted January 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2019 The ability to move to different age groups depends on the amount of chidlren in each grouo, so will not be known until you are onboard.
Spunky946 Posted January 9, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2019 The groups are 3-5 and 6-8 so they will be split 2 and 2. It’s up to the staff and how many kids on board if they will let them move. Not sure who the contacting part works as I had a 10 year old who was allowed to sign herself in and out
spookwife Posted January 9, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2019 as a general rule: moving down MIGHT be doable. moving up is less likely. if there are a lot of kids on board, not gonna happen. if off season, they may combine the 2 groups. might be a pager to come get the kids when they are done at that age. momoftheseas Posted January 9, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2019 As the others have said the kids would be split two in the youngest group and two in the oldest. They may let you move the 5 year old up, or the 6 year old down, but more than likely wont let you move the 4 or 7 year old as they are so far off from either cut off. You can ask for a phone or beeper in case the kids want to leave, but depending on how any your kids are on board they may not give you one as they are usually reserved for those kids with special needs or the newly 3 year olds who are more likely to have an accident. I believe the Disney clubs are open all day(I haven't sailed Disney with kids). Royal's kids clubs have sessions so 9am-12pm, 2pm-5pm and 7pm-10pm. From 10pm-2am there is an hourly charge (I think its $7/hr). On a port day they will be open the entire time you are in port. They usually offer Adventure Dining in the evenings where you can sign them up and they the youth staff will take them to get usually a pizza dinner in the Windjammer. Hope this helps explain it a little better.
