O-life when you live in Miami ???

We are looking at a Cuba cruise. We have wanted to try Oceania and their O-life package is very attractive, but we live near Miami so we will just drive to the port....we obviously don't need air transportation.  Is there a way to book 0-life without air to get the "freebees" that TA's throw in when you do purchase a cruise with o-life?

Oceania's o-life seems to actually dis-incent those who live near Miami (if you cruise from Miami).

The reason you think they're part of the same package is Oceania's marketing material. It's a common misunderstanding.

Here's the breakdown.

Cruise only, no air, no Olife. This is the come on price for the lowest category they use in ads.

Cruise with air, & Olife. This is the price that is also listed on their website for Olife(this is where the confusion comes in for most folks)

Cruise with Olife but no air. To determine the cost of this click on the desired category with the Olife pricing, then on the second screen tell it that no one needs air. Then it will show you the price without air(usually called air credit here) but with one of the three perks mentioned above. OBC is usually the worst choice depending on your desires and wants.

The Olife perks have nothing to do with a TA, they are provided by Oceania. Any perks you get from a TA is a different thing. To confuse the issue there are some perks you'll get from your TA but are actually provided to them by Oceania, gratuities being the most common.

Hoped this helped a little.

OP: This is yet another reason why folks should use a TA who handles many Oceania cruises.

But, if you are DIY, do a mock booking and you will notice a choice of two buttons  (Yes/No) next to a question about needing "air." If you check "no," and continue, you'll find that the cabin prices are then reduced. Subtract the new price from the price on the first page of your booking (for the same cabin category) and you'll know what your credit will be.
