dg33 Posted January 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2019 We just booked Antartica and are asking for any private tour suggestions to Volunteer Point. We would greatly appreciate any help!
cruisinsusin Posted January 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2019 We did the Antarctica cruise in Feb 2018. Amazing cruise and Volunteer Point was great. We used Estancia tours-http://estancia-excursions.com/ - they were very responsive pre- cruise. Nyree was waiting for us when we tendered in and we took off immediately- we were the first jeep to arrive at Volunteer Point! What an experience- so many Kings with babies. Lots of Magellanic and Gentoos also. Highly recommend Estancia! Susan

koolforkatz Posted January 9, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2019 We did an amazing tour in March with Patrick Watts of Adventure Falklands. He sells out, though, so you might want to contact him sooner than later. It was probably my favourite tour of a 30 day South American cruise. Northern Aurora Posted January 9, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2019 In 2015 we used Patrick Watts when at Port Stanley. We were on a B2B2B, and my favorite "penguin" tour was actually Pira Tours to Harberton Estancia (out of Ushuaia). We actually went out to Harberton twice as the first and second leg of the B2B2B called at Ushuaia.
koolforkatz Posted January 9, 2019 #6 Share Posted January 9, 2019 One suggestion too - if you really want to see penguins on your cruise, you might want a penguin excursion plan B. Sometimes ships can't make it to the Falklands depending on weather conditions.
