bmci3398 Posted January 15, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2019 My family will be cruising the new “Sunrise” Dec. 23rd - 28th, 2019. We are considering reservations at Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse (my mom loves lobster tail) for either Christmas Eve or Dec. 27th. However, I’ve been reading that dining takes from 2- 2 1/2 hours. We leave the 23rd, and are in port at Ocho Rios on Christmas Day and Grand Cayman on the 26th, so I don’t think those nights will work. I’m afraid of missing Christmas programs or activities during dinner on Christmas Eve and the 27th is our last night on the ship. Any thoughts on which night to reserve? Rare shof515 Posted January 15, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2019 no, you will not the miss the shows. that is a long time for dinner. Tell the waiter you need to be somewhere after dinner and you can get in and out in like 1hr to 1hr and half or less
Joebucks Posted January 15, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 15, 2019 Carnival has some awesome people working for them. I would politely tell them that you want to make whichever event, and would appreciate if they could assist with that. While I wouldn't expect a fly by dinner, their people will give it their best to make sure you make your event.
ProgRockCruiser Posted January 15, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2019 Keep in mind that you can make a reservation at an earlier or later time if that suits your needs better. Like 6pm or 8pm. Range may be even wider.
coevan Posted January 15, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 15, 2019 We have never taken that long for dinner, maybe the Chef's Table but not the Steakhouse.
ProgRockCruiser Posted January 15, 2019 #6 Share Posted January 15, 2019 I think our dinner at the Steakhouse was almost 2 hours, maybe more, but we linger over dessert and wine - we aren't in a hurry, and enjoy the lack of pace.
simplelife Posted January 19, 2019 #7 Share Posted January 19, 2019 The times of the shows are publicized in the fun times (These are published in many posts) There is usually an early and a late show, Make your reservations accordingly, Ir you don't mind eating late, go to the early show and then take your time dining.
