sailorchick17 Posted January 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 18, 2019 Hi All, We just booked a cruise with some friends and they were able to take advantage of the 3rd and 4th Free in the Cabin. They also have the Specialty Dining (and all offers incl. Bev. Package, internet and shore ex) but on the reservation it only shows as 2 people (the parents). Are the children still included in this as well or do they need to pay for the children if they go to the restaurants with us? What other things should we keep in mind with the 3rd and 4th people in a cabin? What's included? What's not? This is their first cruise and our first cruise with Children so any information would be helpful!! Thanks so much!
Two Wheels Only Posted January 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 18, 2019 (edited) The SDP promo is only for guests 1&2 The UBP/UOB promo is only for guests 1&2 If the children go to the specialty restaurants, the choices are... a) Pay a la carte for what the children order or (if applicable) pay the cover charge such as for Teppanyaki. b) Purchase a SDP for the children (less expensive if purchased online) and use the SDP to cover the children's meals. c) Order from the fleet-wide Kids' Menu for no charge. "3rd and 4th Free" are still charged taxes, port fees (which are already seen), and a DSC which can either be pre-paid or taken from the on-board account on a daily basis. (Will not get into the "...you can reduce/remove the DSC..." debate) There was a time when all 4 would have gotten the SDP promo (UDP back when it was unlimited uses), and 3rd and 4th guests would have gotten the soda program when guests 1&2 received the UBP promo but that was years ago. sailorchick17 Posted January 18, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted January 18, 2019 (edited) Awesome. Thanks for the info. Does anyone know what the deal is for beverages? Are they limited to what's available in the Buffet/complimentary restaurants without buying a soda package, etc? What's included for them as booked without purchasing additional packages (for the additional children)? sailorchick17 Posted January 18, 2019 Author #6 Share Posted January 18, 2019 Do they HAVE to purchase the pop package per kid? Maybe for the 10 year old but i don't imagine the 4 year old would need it. I'm sure the water/lemonade would be fine.

You can purchase individual beverages for the children or get them the soda package. There are also beverages in the buffet that vary by time of day. Water is not included in any of the packages but you can bring and fill sports bottles. As far as teh specialty restaurants the children can eat off the children's menu without charge. If they eat off the adult menu then they pay the regular price. Packages can be bought for them but at these ages, it is probably not a good value.
