LoveToTravel and StlcardsFan, was checkin all one group or did they have separate lines for Gold, Platinum, ect.?  Any idea of crowds around noon-1ish.  Thanks for your review.

Have been several not so good ones lately.

There is Haven check in and Casino of the Sea. Maybe Plantium ? Not sure about that. They gave us cards with boarding group #s. Went pretty smoothly. I don't know what caused the back up and I'm not sure what noon was like, ones I talked to had arrived later.

Cheersforbeers I did not see separate lines for Gold Platinum etc.  Another couple had Priority boarding and everyone they asked didn’t really seem to know.  This was our experience:  arrived at 9:15, dropped luggage, went across the railroad tracks and turned directly right into the terminal.  Turn directly to your left and there is a small waiting area.  We waited about 10 minutes and then they let us through giving us a Boarding Group 1 card.  Went through security and then to desks where our passports were checked, photos taken and sea passes.  Then into a big room where they told us to wait at the back.  To us that didn’t make sense as embarkation was at the front of the room. At the front of the room was the Haven Lounge and perhaps Gold and Platinum were allowed there also but I’m not sure.  We saw some folks congregating near the embarkation sign so we got up also but we were told this was for travel agents only.  So back we went behind the sign and watched while they loaded Haven people, then those on wheelchairs or the elderly.  Finally it was our turn, although several people got over eager and went around the sign while one poor staff member was trying to control the crowd.  The time we spent in the second waiting room was about an hour and a half, and we walked on board about 11:30.  I would guess that around noon to 1 it may be more crowded than what we had.  I haven’t heard any complaints about embarking from others on this ship.  A side note is that we were supposed to leave at 4 pm but didn’t until about 6.  No explanation was given but we could see supplies being loaded on board the whole time.

As someone who has Tom T. Hall's, I Like Beer, for a ringtone, just want to say, I like your ID. You are probably even familiar with Cliff Clavin's Buffalo Beer Theory. 🙂

At Harvest Caye yesterday I did not have phone service (I have Verizon) this morning in Costa Maya I do $5. for calls, text and data.

Last night we are at Ocean Blue, very good. 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 2 sides and a dessert. My husband ordered the shrimp appitizer at Cagney it was only 3 shrimp but at Ocean Blue there were 6. I had the king crab appitizer both were very good. We were able to sit outside, the sunset was beautiful, tried to get a picture but didn't turn out very good. We will probably go back there a 2nd night. Later we went to Howl and the Moon, very talented, we enjoyed it a lot.

Sticardsfan we were at Ocean Blue last night too!  And we saw the sunset.  DH had the King Crab appetizer and the seafood platter and asparagus.  I had the oysters Rockefeller and a salad and the Maine lobster.  Everything was good.  So far the best dessert has been in the buffet.  It was a mini chocolate pie.  Yum.

My favorite has been in the buffet the crepe station. But the raspberry brûlée in Cagneys was pretty good too. We both had the seafood platter.

Thanks.  We have gone out NO several times on smaller ships and I was hoping that hadn’t changed due to the larger ship Breakaway.  I know a route that goes the back way and avoids all the traffic.  Hope you are both having a great cruise.

Street construction really tieing up traffic there.

How is vibe going? Are you still glad you purchased it?

Yes.  We like the quiet and the thick pads on the loungers.  Also the fruity ice water.  But I do agree with others that on a port intensive cruise or a cool weather one it might not be worth it.  We may try the spa area next as we are considering the transatlantic cruise in April and it will probably be cooler.

The Ocean Blue looks fairly small. Are reservations required? The chances of getting them for Valentine's Day is probably zero-none?
