Dana'sDaughters Posted January 22, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2019 It will be my husband, daughter age 14, and myself. What is the difference in the 3 and 4 night cruise? It looks like they go to the same places. Which would you recommend?
FSU Girl Posted January 22, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2019 The 4 night. You’ll get a sea day, it’ll feel less rushed and you’ll be able to enjoy the ship more. 3 days is way too short to me.
gometros Posted January 23, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 23, 2019 I agree with FSU GIrl. Four days gives you a stop in Nassau, a stop in Castaway cay and a day at sea. You lose that day at sea on a three day. Three days is just two short. When you consider you board no earlier than around noon and disembark early on the last day, you're really only on the ship for two and a half days. It seems like no sooner do you unpack when you're packing all over again.
ArthurUSCG Posted January 23, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 23, 2019 I agree that the 4 day is the way to go when you can. It also allows the captain to adjust the route back to port to give you a smoother ride.
tinybiny Posted January 24, 2019 #5 Share Posted January 24, 2019 Our first cruise was the 3 night and it went by way too fast. We were busy the entire time and didn't even see the entire ship.
RMac713 Posted January 25, 2019 #6 Share Posted January 25, 2019 I say the 4 night as well. We have enjoyed our 4 nights. We did a 3 night on Fantasy last summer to get our "grand slam", and it seemed as if it was over in a blink.
Rare cantgetin Posted January 27, 2019 #7 Share Posted January 27, 2019 4 night. The difference is time to enjoy the ship. A 3 night cruise is 2 1/2 days, and they are all port days. The cost to get to port is the same, whether the cruise is 3 nights or 14 nights. A 4 night cruise is A LOT nicer than a 3 night. I could write paragraphs on the differences....bottom line is that if you can afford 4 nights, do it.
angie7911922 Posted January 28, 2019 #8 Share Posted January 28, 2019 I would go with the 4 night. While going to the different ports is awesome, so is the day at sea. It is well worth the extra night, just to look around the ocean and enjoy the ship.

We are booked in May for the 3-night which is something I said I would NEVER do! Low and behold....! Niece's first cruise and I started a new job. Otherwise, would have done 4 as we will also have a day at Disney which I figured will be enough for her right now. A day at sea allows time to enjoy ship activities which we will minimally partake. Better, enough for me with a 4-year old!
