I was hoping to purchase a live flower lei in Hawaii. Will I be able to bring it on board the ship?

Yes...we’ve brought flowers onboard many times from ports although they cannot be removed from the ship.

They even had lei making onboard when we last sailed to Hawaii.  As I recall, we got them at the airport when we landed .... no need to purchase.  They were quite beautiful, but we couldn't take it back off the ship.

They still show lei making as an option as part of their Aloha Spirit program.

Me too...and if Elua is running the program they’re our favorite Hawaiian ambassadors.

Go to ChinaTown in Honolulu.  A short walk away from the port.  You will find many lei vendors there with quite an assortment of nice leis.  Be sure to mention that you are returning to the ship.  Several leis are not allowed off the island by plane.  Popular stop is Cindy's Lei Stand.  Ginger, Pikaki, Pua Keni Keni.  Then there's the farmer's market in Hilo for anthuriums .
