Its in the center but a little bit on the edge of downtown.

But the area gets more popular, Wakeup has just opened a 600 room hotel and Scandic is currently building another 600 room hotel in the Sané area.

The Copenhagen Villa luxury hotel is also under cunstruction.

Cabinn is opening a 1200 room hotel nearby and alot of office and apartments towers is also going up in the area.

Danish design center has also just recently opened in the building called Blox.

So its the hotspot for Development at the moment.

There its a short walk to most places or else there is a bus stop almost at the doorstep.

It is at least a 10 - 15 minute to restaurants and attraction. Main train station is a15 minute walk away. The hotel does rent out bike for it clients. The hotel is also on a hop on hop off bus route.

Do you know which hop on hop off bus it is that the Marriott is on?  We are staying there in June for the night before our cruise.. Our flight arrives at 11 am, so if we had time after reaching the hotel, we would like to see a little bit of Copenhagen from the HOHO bus... Thanks!

We stayed at the Marriott Copenhagen two years ago and had a great experience.  We had a beautiful view of the river.  We walked everywhere except  coming back from Torvehallerne and getting to the port.  The walk to the train station is not far but the wait for the stoplight to change so you can walk across the street in front of the Marriott can take awhile.

The Marriott has a nice outdoor patio on the waterside for drinks and appetizers.

Thank you gnome12... I see the ticket also includes stops at the cruise port.. and it says you can store your luggage on the ground floor, so we could also use our ticket to get from the Marriott to the port the next morning... Has anyone else done that?  Is it fairly simple or would it be easier for 2 senior citizens to just take a taxi to the ship?  Thanks!

We did a Baltic cruise last May and stayed a the the Marriott and they have a shuttle bus that you can purchase tickets for from the hotel. The cost is just put on your room bill. Do not remember the cost. The shuttle drops you off at the cruise port  where you check in.

Also Tivoil Gardens is not far from the hotel. Hope you have a great cruise.

Thanks juniper berries!  That is what we will do... We are hoping to have time to walk over to Tivoli Gardens for dinner since in June they should be open later and it will still be light outside.. Our flight was changed so it doesn't arrive until 11:00 am now.. so we won't have much time for sightseeing... thanks!
