Corkage on wines NCL offers

Most land based restaurants have a caveat on their corkage plan that you don’t bring the wines they serve.    We usually get around this by bringing an older vintage and maybe offering the server a taste.  On NCL can I bring a Veive Clicquot and pay corkage?   Seems like we come out ahead based on published prices.

Thoughts?

If you bring wine on board and don't end up opening it,  are you still charged?

Yes, the charge is collected when you board the ship. There is no way to tell if you open it or not.

They put a sticker on the wine so if you have the unopened bottle with the sticker on it then they know you haven’t opened it.

I’m not speaking from experience, but others have reported getting a refund for

umopened bottles.

You have to take the unopened bottle along with the charge slip you signed when boarding. Take all to Guest Services the morning of disembarkation before they close out the accounts at 8 a.m. to request your refund of the $15 corkage fee.
