Jan 31, 2020 - MIA and FLL

So... Super Bowl is Feb 2 2020 in Miami.  We booked the cruise 1.5 years ago for Symphony of the Seas and cannot change the date.  Looking at hotels for Fri Jan 31 in either FLL or MIA is insane.  Days Inns are $500 plus.

 

Has anyone attempted to book for that time frame and have you had success?

I guess it’s all based on supply and demand .......  if there is a big congresss or conference in town then room rates will of course spike through the roof .... this city is very much a go-to for the conference market

The farther away from Miami the more reasonable the hotel prices will be.  Have you looked at flights into PBI?  Even Orlando is only a 3.5-4 hour drive away.

It's way too early.  But I did go on to hotels.com and found well reviewed accommodations at boutique hotels for $100. Plenty of options. 

 

For example, The Hotel Deauville in Fort Lauderdale. Standard private room is $105.  Lots of very good reviews, great rating, including some from cruisers. 

 

Seems to be plenty of similar places.

I am sailing on the Oasis on Super Bowl.. and was able to get a room in South beach for $328.00 for 4 people for the pre-cruise stay..and then another couple who decided to book after we did ended up getting a room in the same hotel for around $280.00.

I check everyday just to see how much the prices change..

Hilton properties have not released their inventory for that time frame. I keep watching every day. Thanks for letting us know about the Super Bowl at that time.
