Following along! I am wondering how much you bag ended up weighing ?

47.5lbs. I’m a pro. Travel for work so I can pick a bag up and tell. Sad.

The DD on the other hand....3 lbs over. Ever do the luggage shuffle when you check in? Yep, did that.

So, you ever wonder why you can’t get any ground service and it takes forever to get off a plane? Welp, apparently they are playing basketball. 8aee990d61e35b9e4fb4d123458c3b3c.jpg

Yeh, that’s what they do in New Orleans!

Welllllll, after the payoffs....it wouldn't be football.

So, getting the girls some fun juice. DS still hasn’t made it yet. We may be in bed before he does. If anyone cares, the Bourbon Cowboy has 3 for 1 before 9pm. And a mechanical bull stay tuned for that. DD said yes.

Cornet for Po Boys. And drinks. Dear lord a lot of drinks. When your crew takes up the entire side of the bar. And it’s not even 3pm.

These rebound patches better be something.

Thanks for bring us along! Where was the best fried chicken at?

Great first "Live" of what will soon be many more.

That would be Brothers. There’s one on Carondelet near Canal Street. Get the fried chicken and meat pies.

Good morning New Orleans.

So a little about the hotel JW Marriott. We chose this hotel because I stay almost exclusively in Marriott, and therefore have a ton of points. This hotel was 35k points per night. While nice, it’s just “ok” as Marriotts go, and not really up to par with other JW’s. They literally only have 7 suites (that’s not many for a 400 room hotel) and the rooms were standard fare otherwise - not $400 per night rooms if you know what I mean. The bar area was nice, and bartender George was great. Location is the real draw, as it’s 2 blocks from Bourbon and tons of good food nearby.

Would we stay here again? Sure, but if the Marriott across the street or Sheraton next door we’re priced favorably that would be my pick.

Next up, headed to the port.
