The kids. This is the long hallway to food picture. I kept asking them to turn around. Finally they did.

Dinner tonight was Manhattan room. Why? Because the wait to get into taste and savor was 45 minutes. Why? Because that many people wanted to wear shorts and / or flip flops to dinner in the main restaurant. So, Manhattan room it is.

Funny, the people in front of us didn’t like the wait in taste /savor so they went to Manhattan. He’s wearing shorts.

Yep, they are denied entry. Spouse gives him “the look”. Guess who’s running to cabin to change.

We were seated immediately and had another very attentive wait staff.

Food was good tonight. Not great, just good. Not to bore you with options, but I had the spring rolls (great), the ravioli ( see last night - same thing), and the Pad Thai ( mediocre).

Dessert was very good. Posted already about that.

And now, Syd Norman.

I have 2 patches on tonight. You know why.

I am pretty sure hubby wore his shorts (cargo type)into the Manhattan on the Escape ... is this a new rule?

Great reviews and thanks for this thread!  It is fun to follow along and appreciate all the information.

Any favorite spots for drinks in the evenings that are less crowded?

Also, I know you aren't traveling with little kids but have been trying to find out of the kids club reaches capacity often during school break sailings and have to turn kids away.  If you hear any rumblings about this from fellow passengers I would love to know.

Have a great trip!

The second public bathroom homage in a week... I feel like a celebrity...

Well, you are! I am only one of many groupies, both male and female. Wait, that sounded weird...I am not both male and female. 😂

Manhattan Room has always been no shorts. The other 2 are more casual.

Like a lot of things associated with NCL, shorts are hit and miss in Manhattan Dining room.  I know they say shorts are not allowed but I have worn shorts and have seen others wearing shorts but have also seen many people wearing shorts turned away.  Hit and miss. Best to not take the chance if you really want to eat in there.

Haven’t really been looking for the less crowded spots, but Bliss lounge hasn’t been very busy when we’ve walked by. Also, the casino bar seems like a good drive - by to get a drink. Wouldn’t want to sit there in the smoke however.

I recommend finding Milan in Shakers.

Following along...

I have to say Go Green too... My daughter graduated from Michigan St. She recently completed basic training at Ft Leonard Wood. So we were near you a few weeks ago.

Have a great time!  We are on Breakaway April 21.

Funny thing, we don't usually get much lunch the 1st day. We lose track of time at the Spice bar.:classic_biggrin:

Talked some folks into woo woo shots. Didn’t know them, but they are super cool and from Canada. Joe says the shots are super cute.

Did I use “super” as an adjective twice in the same post?

FYI, if you’re an English teacher and feel the need to correct me, please don’t. My mom did that. Didn’t like it then either.

Oh, and my “special” excursion didn’t happen. Instead we did Salsa and Salsa and More Salsa at Playa Mia. It was fantastic. 1416bc7baf44ef10d6ec437f0194229d.jpg559004cc94d7df117b7363d8f808faae.jpg2f4199cc89f791a5f6a771254950aced.jpg

Did you get our royalties yet from the last time we did this excursion?

What was your "special" excursion?

You know, it’s a different deal. This was with Playa Mia a private excursion and not through the ship.

My special excursion, which I may still need, is not something for the posting at this point. We may revisit the topic late. Thank you MNTwinsmom for your concern. [emoji16]

Great funny review so far - enjoying reading it - please carry on!

May I ask, how did you snag the PBP? We're going on the Bliss next month and want to know how to get it …

TaTa.

Looks like a super day. Glad the "double Patch" was working. What was the "special excursion" that you ended up changing to the salsa one?

Symphony of the Seas has murals like this in all its mens bathrooms above the urinals.

Here an older lady is  holding a ruler, looking down at you when you have your friend held in your hand taking a leak and saying "Oh My". Each mens room has a different mural with different mems of this nature. 🙂

Love reading your posts and your writing style...very funny!  I am thinking of booking this cruise in April for myself and 3 teenage boys during spring break. Seems to be one of the best deals around for last minute booking. My boys love to play b-ball...how is the b-ball court on this ship?  TIA

So, gave Osheehans another try for lunch, because I like the food. The wait for water, food, etc is still excruciatingly long, but the food was good.

Shepard’s Pie and Chicken Fajitas.

PBP came with the booking. NCL runs lots of promos. I suspect they are different in different countries.
