Stone Crab in FLL

Hi all, looking for recommendation's for an excellent stone crab dinner in Ft. Lauderdale next week. Staying at Pier 66 for two nights pre cruise. Already posted on the Florida departures board but hoping some of the active experts on here could weigh in. Thanks in advance.

Kelly’s Landing on Cordova Road, about a mile east of Pier 66 is excellent.

We have been to Kelly’s Landing twice, but for New England type seafood (fried whole clams, scallops, fish). It was very good both times.

Catfish Dewey's - not close to port and not for atmosphere. But for price, variety, and quality of seafood we think it is great! Huge plates of stone crab claws.

Be prepared to pay much higher prices for stone crab.

 

Between Hurricane Irma in 2017 scarifying the sea bed and the red tide in 2018, the already reduced harvest of 2017 has been dropped another 40% for this season.

Thank you for the heads up on this. Coming from the desert southwest it is such a rare occasion we ever get to enjoy it fresh and something we must put in the trip budget 🙂 As long as it's good, don't mind spending the $.
