Carnival Miracle questions

This one is just for fun as I am going on the Miracle next weekend and can't wait!  A couple questions - I am also surfing the board for answers but this might be fun too :)

- I know that the ship is lacking the upgraded food options.  I will VERY MUCH miss Blue Iguana Cantina and Guy's Burgers...  what are the hidden gems of the Miracle?

- I can't wait to see the decor in the main dining room to see if it's as eclectic in real life as the pictures show.  What area of the ship is your most favorite place to be?

- How was the cruise director?  I think I'll have Frank The Tank

- I've been to most of the ports several times and know what I am going to do in each port - except for Roatan.  Any ideas?

- Any other tips and secrets?

Again, this is just for fun!  Thanks!

I mostly missed Blue Iguana, the off the grill did okay for burgers, my in-laws liked the hot dogs. Only "hidden gem" for food I can think of is there's a sushi stand located across from the coffee bar that isn't on the deck plans and that I thought was really good.

The decor of the ship was interesting and eclectic, but even being someone who actually likes the crazy Farcus decor, I thought the Bacchus dining room was a bit too much with all the purple and grapes everywhere.

We got the "Relax on the beach" package and enjoyed it, you get a round-trip ride on the Magic chair ride, 2 lounge chairs, a clamshell and 2 floats to use in the water. It was a nice beach day.

One of my favorite things on Miracle was the seating areas on the Promenade deck, a lot cozier than the open seating areas on other ships. Also the layout of the ship is much easier to navigate. When you leave the aft restaurant, all you have to do is take a nice stroll on the same deck to the casino.

Our last two sailings Miracle and Splendor do not have the upgrades. Thought I would miss them but really didn't. The overall decor of the Miracle is different. The ship is older but we like the cozyness of the smaller ships. Very easy to get around.

The best thing we liked about the miracle was the serenity in the rear of the ship. We did miss guys burgers but we did survive! The layout is easy to learn and we were overall happy to be on a spirit class ship even though all the other ships in the class have the upgrades. The art nouveau inspired walkway in front of the ship is very nice as well and quiet.  Steakhouse was excellent!  Carnival just isnt treating the miracle and splendor the same. Drydock upgrade info is limited.

Thank you.

Cruise Critic has been great for getting prepared.  I'm sure that we'll be that wide-eyed family that does all the newbie stuff.

My Dad is crashing our party.  He's been on numerous cruises also

LOL - There's always something going on - That's for sure!  Did you join the roll call in cruise critic for this cruise?  A few people talking on that board

We were on Miracle over Christmas.  It has the best Serenity area in Carnival in my opinion, along with other Spirit class ships.   Miracle also has a great SkyBox Sports Bar and Red Frog Pub. I also like how most of the activities at night are all on deck 2.  Frankie is also an excellent CD.

We're going on the Miracle in two weeks so I can't speak for the ship, although I'm excited to see a Spirit class.  But Roatan was one of my favorite ports. If you are an animal lover I highly recommend Daniel Johnson's Monkey and Sloth habitat.  People were very friendly and loved playing with the animals. Have a great trip!   https://monkeyandslothhangout.com/home/?fbclid=IwAR1Ords47rXbtJCAfaIkU1CTipjUgk2Ml89xA2oz6vNu31sObhATC74ApJM

My wife & I loved the Miracle.  Earlier mentioned Gatsby Garden is very quiet, and charming.  A great place to sit down and read a book.  The Madhatter's Lounge, where they have the comedians entertain is very cozy.  You must arrive about 30-45 minutes before showtime to get a seat.  Nick & Nora's Steakhouse is awesome.  Sit upper level next to the window and you may see a beautiful sunset!
