Arcadia Deck D

Hi All

 

We are in a deck D Balcony cabin on Arcadia for the 2020 world cruise and have just watched a youtube video of the cabins.

 

A bit disappointed as it looks as though the lifeboat just below deck D might get in the way of a nice view when sitting on the balcony

 

Anyone confirm this or otherwise?

ooking at the deck plan you will be able to look straight out to sea. If you look down you will be looking down onto the top of the lifeboat rather than straight down to sea.

We looked at this for the same cruise and felt the same as you lofty. Eventually decided to go for deck b as it is a bit higher up

A D deck balcony wouldn’t be my choice as you can’t see down only out. If you contact your TA they should be able to sort you a similar cabin on a higher deck or even E deck which have bigger balconies than D deck.

Aft on D deck is ok, life boats are forward a bit, so it is clear down the side of the hull to the sea.  We have D142 which looks ok.

We had D99 on Acadia if your Sat on the chair you look out to sea, yes your above the lifeboats wasn't an issue for us we were very close to lift and stairs no noise at all.Would book there again

We have had cabin D110 there times and the view is not a problem for us and it was near the lifts.Also if the boat starts sinking you can jump straight into a lifeboat ! (Joke).
