We use these  https://www.amazon.com/BPS-Storm-Lycra-Water-Socks/dp/B07D9CN932/ref=sr_1_11?crid=1ANKXMDCFTTMB&dchild=1&keywords=water+socks+for+wom

there is a thin tread on the bottom, and once we get to the water our fins slip over them.  You will need some sort of water shoes as the beaches have shells, small rocks etc.  The socks that we use are not good for long walks, just getting from where we left our towels to the water.

Your blog is one of the best!   Thank you.  Your photos are spectacular.   We will be headed to Bonaire in Jan 2022 and just want to enjoy some nice swimming in crystal clear water.  Will we need to wear water shoes to protect from rocks?

Yes.
