Jasonmom Posted March 30, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 30, 2019 I'm looking for a beach near cruise port. Doesn't need to be snorkeling. Would like to have a place where me and mom could sit in shade drinking a drink while watching my 12 year old play in ocean. Any ideas?
trophy_23 Posted March 31, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2019 I took this photo from our balcony while docked, so very close to the ship. If you look close you can see the wooden pier, just beside there is a small patch of sand. We came back from our snorkel excursion and I decided the water was too beautiful to not enjoy a little longer so I went snorkelling around there close to the beach. Some other people were swimming from that little beach. Snorkelling was ok. There were signs saying not to jump off the moorning dolphins but no signs saying not to swim there like there were in the other side of the ships pier. Kate P.C Posted May 13, 2019 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2019 YEs, but there is a beach further down. Maybe another 10 minutes walk through the beautiful scenery of Bonaire. The beach is private and you have to pay for an entrance.

We always walk the "other way", towards the restaurants and shops...and all the beaches are beautiful but no sand to speak of...all pebbles/rocks...in and out of the water.
