Delay for all Cruises Departing Today

Recommended Posts

Royal Caribbean wishes to inform all guests scheduled to embark today that due to an IT Systems Failure in Miami we have to delay all embarkations until further notice. If your ship is at a Port of Call you may experience  a delay in departing that port of call. Some disembarkations may be delayed due to this system failure.

We have had issues in submitting the Passenger and Crew Manifest Data to Local authorities. In addition the GPS systems tracking our ships has been affected as well.

As for reservations and making payments on your cruises you may see discrepancies as we work with our Resolutions team to fix this major issue.

We are looking into a possible breach of Data due to a breached IT systems that was breached in the early hours of this morning.

In a PR meeting Mr. Fain and Mr.Bayley stated" We are truly sorry for this major IT breach and are working hard to fix the issues at hand". Royal Caribbean is working hard to keep everything on schedule and will keep abreast of any delays.  To show our appreciation we are adding $200 in OBC to Stateroom Accounts and will assist with making alternate arrangements.

A CBS News Report alluded to the major issues with Royal Caribbean's IT systems and asked for a full investigation of this latest breach of data.

I think this is all double talk to hide the real issue.  Because of the data breach it was possible to hack into the ships mainframe. Total panic over the thought of the glass viewing port on deck 1 being manually over ridden and opened to the sea.  Ship may be sitting on the bottom if access port is opened.
