Doing our first 2 night cruise on Aurora 7th July. Question is, on such a short cruise do they have a formal night. Your feedback is appreciated.

Bal

My understanding is that all 2 nighters have a formal night. Not that we have done one for over 15 years.

Crucially it is either the first or second night as it tends to vary but neither is ideal.  Last night is always more tricky with luggage leaving outside cabin etc.  The only consolation is huge numbers of people self-help disembark.

Thanks for this, rather hoped it would be fairly informal as this is just a quick pat on the back cruise. Love the formal nights on the longer cruises but hey ho we'll still enjoy it all.

Thanks Dai, wouldn't expect you to do 2 nighters, you've got sooo many longer cruises booked and indeed, been on. Good to catch up on one again eh

We did a 2 nighter on Aurora in October 2017 (it was supposed to be to Zeebrugge but due to ‘Storm Brian’ it ended up as a cruise to nowhere). Thankfully we did it back to back with a 7 nighter.

Anyway, there was a Black Tie night and it was the 2nd night.

As a point of interest, the entertainment on the 2 nighter was very good, far better than we had during the following 7 night cruise.
