Prepaid gratuities: refunded if I need to cancel?

Just booked 4 nights on the Mariner for July 2020. If I prepay my gratuities now, and for any reason cancel the trip later...are those gratuities refunded???

i don't want to pay anything (besides my deposit) that can't be refunded in the unlikely event we have to cancel. Thank you!

Yes, they’ll be refunded but it may take some time to see your $$ again.

Also if I recall correctly you don't actually prepaid the gratuities until the final payment is made as it is added as an item for payment then. For a four night cruise that would be 75 days prior.

As someone else has said, you are adding them to the total due when it comes time to pay in full. No reason to do it until then

Yes, they will be refunded, as well as government taxes and fees.

You mentioned “deposit”. Keep in mind that the least expensive RCL fares involve a non-refundable deposit.
